Arrhythmia is a condition where the heart beats too slow, too fast or irregularly. We offer various tests to look for heart rhythm disorder. Please also refer to our Arrhythmia Clinic for further information on treatments.

Tilt Table Test

What is a Tilt Table test?

This is used to determine whether your fainting or dizziness may be due to abnormal control of heart rate or blood pressure. During the test, you will lie on a table that will be slowly tilted upward. A nurse or technician will keep track of your blood pressure and your heart rate to see how they respond to the force of gravity.

How do I prepare?

  • Detailed instructions will be provided in office once the test is scheduled.

  • If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify our office and the hospital 24 hours in advance.
